Hike to Hollyburn Mountain in North Vancouver next to the Cypress Ski Resort

Today, we had a very sunny day again. We borrowed some snowshoes from a fiend and started this morning early (for me, not for Seppel). So, we decided to go hiking in the North Shore Mountains (North Vancouver). We picked up Arnaud (from France) who studies with me and started at 9:30 am on the parking lot:

I forgot Seppel's sunglasses in the car, so I had to go back (I was lucky that we noticed that close to the beginning of the hike).

You can see that it was very sunny:). In the background you can see Vancouver Island.

On our way up we put the snowshoes on our back because the snow wasn´t deep at all.Our snowboard boots were good enough to reach the top.

View down to Vancouver and Vancouver Island in the background.

View to Grouse Mountain

Seppel and Arnaud, having a rest.

The closer we came to the top the better became the view towards Vancouver.

And the sun was still there!

I prepared my new poles (bought them yesterday).

Having a rest on the top.

That was the view to the North, nice mountains.

Seppel felt cold, maybe because he has a cold.
